I can't remember, is this K@ going to be a production model or a Sprint?

All collaborations are normal production to limited production, depending on the shop that's making them. Japan builds at higher volumes than Taichung.

The one exception would be a sprint or exclusive of a past collaboration. The Massad Ayoob and Jot Singh Salsa sprints for example.

Hi Laethageal!

The Spyderco / Farid K2 is a Collaboration Production Model. Not a Sprint Run.

It's just so awesome that it looks like a Sprint. :D

From those pics, only two nitpicks would be late lock up and no gimping. It looks amazing though

+1

Sort of brings this exhausting thread back into focus.

I admire the well-executed minimalist aesthetic here. But, where I love my Sage2 (in spite of its RIL), I can't bring myself to like the K2's upswept blade.

As my caribou-skinning days are long behind me, I'll give this knife a pass and just stay tuned for the 10V test results (which I expect to be pretty damned interesting, given Farid's pics).

Into the cardboard stage now.....

500 Yards (1500 ft) cut so far and it's not showing any signs of slowing down...

Less posting more....umm posting results.
On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Newest Spydies: S90v Ti Military, Pacific Salt and a special Kiwi.

Agreed. Trading the seemingly rounded spine (nice touch!) for notches would probably gimp the design for harder work.
