The lesson for today is, don't even go into the knife shop unless you're ready to buy something. There's no such thing as a crackhead browsing through a selection of different crack options and not walking out with some crack in his pocket.
I went in thinking I might pick up another Bug, because I really destroyed the blade on my last one. You know how when you see something for the first time and you know instantly you're going to buy it? You can stand around at the display case and debate the asking price or whether you really need it, etc etc but in the end you know dang well you're walking out with that item. That's how it was with this one.
In the end, it's a lightly used knife, shows some wear on the clip screws, was full of pocket lint and the pivot felt like it had sand in it, and there's some very fine chips in the plain edge section on the tip. Otherwise the G10 looks nearly perfect, the blade doesn't have any scratches at all, and the serrations look like they've never been sharpened but aren't factory sharp. I got it for $90 out the door, which I felt was a decent deal considering they aren't the easiest to find, and overall it's in excellent condition. I'll be eating Ramen noodles for a couple weeks and probably sleeping on the couch, but I think it's worth it :D
