School me on the Paramilitary D2 Foliage Green

#1

Post by Noah »

So it looks like I'm going to be picking up a Paramilitary 1 in CPM D2 and foliage green G10, untouched in the box. How many of these were made? Do they perform well? It'll be my first Paramilitary or Compression lock Spydie. :spyder:

Not sure how many were made (probably 600-1200). I remember them being heavily discounted for a while.

Great knife, I was (and am) very happy with my CPM-D2 Military. I never have liked the PM as much as the Military so I didn't pick one up at the time. The one I tried had great fit and finish and was very smooth.

Can't speak for others, but my D2 Para is one of the smoothest opening Spydies I have. Not as smooth as the Sage 3, but VERY smooth.

Smooooth. And it takes a great edge. It's one of my favorite knives. There is just something special about it.

Might as well spend less on a normal Para and get the upgraded features and around the same performance steel wise. Or spend around the same getting a newer sprint run.

:edit: Oh, and stainlessness.

It is indeed a special knife, my favorite spyderco knife. Some knives have a distinct personality, this one certainly does. The color is unbeatable, and the original clip is so more distinguished than the ubiquitous hourglass panacea. Enjoy and post pics when u get em.

It was brand new, but selling for only $115 shipped. It's still available a far as I know! I ended up going with a normal PM2 from the same guy for a good price as well.
