If there are ~90-180 people in line before me (depending on if they all bought 2 or 1) then I suppose there will be some wait time. The people posting may have been the first ones in line. :(
I'm pretty sure the first 9 people all ordered 20 each, so you probably were the 10th order. :)

KW charged my credit card on Friday. A good sign.

Interesting my tracking still claims delivery for the 15th, yet has not shown progress past pick up. Seems incredibly unlikely it gets here tomorrow without having left the state of pick up.

GoldenSpydie wrote:I'm definitely not bidding on it. But I would lean toward it being real for these reasons:

1. I've never seen a fake Yojimbo.
2. It is only a few days before the general release, which is typical with CC# knives.
3. The seller's "name" includes "knifes," which could show that he/she generally tends to misspell.
4. The seller has sold many of the recent releases--and all of them have been CC# 002.
I think it's pretty cool of you to share your clever trade secrets, like misspelled-word searches, with other spydophiles, GS. Here are some other things that I think can occasionally help with bargain hunting:

1) Poorly stated description keeps other people from finding the item.
2) People are scared to bid because picture does not match description. I think you can usually go with the text unless it says actual item is pictured. And if it's not what you expect, you could get a refund in either case (not as pictured or not as described).
3) People don't bid because it's a new seller with few ratings. I think you can usually figure out if it's a legit auction by the way it's written and get some good deals this way.

Recently a long-time collector was auctioning off a huge chunk (158 knives) of his collection with no reserve, and he pretty much just stated the knife name and SKU number, especially in the first batch he put up. I think this caused a lot of people who search more for scale type and steel type to overlook the sale, allowing some of the remaining searchers to get pretty good deals on some knives.

Thanks. I'm always happy to help...as long as you don't jack up the price on the auctions that I want. ;)

Are you talking about those CC#18 auctions? I went after a few of them, but they always ended up going for more than I wanted to pay. Still, it was one amazing set of Spydie auctions!

Yes, I was talking about CC#18. I didn't bother to cross check prices too much, because he wasn't selling any of my grail type knives and I really can't afford to grab something just because it's a good price, but I think the Persians, some of the Dyads, the Serrata, maybe the Tusk, CF Dodo and others went pretty cheap. Of course others were going for over $700, so he didn't do too badly.

Anyone else compulsively checking tracking today and seeing nothing more than it was picked up by request Friday?

Perhaps there's a silver lining to the fact that I haven't gotten notification yet. Perhaps my sanity will suffer less because of it.

Hard to believe this person is charging a $70 premium just for a CC version. I will be more than happy with my $70 cheaper non-cc version when it arrives.

I'm not sure if knifeworks ships overseas but the seller could be banking on someone unable to purchase it from the source.

I'm sticking with my trusty G-10 model, so just kibitzing here :p but it may be a "shipping error" (not really ready to ship first time, lol )
