I have no plans to get one (of course, that could change). I strongly prefer the Techno's design. The Chubby just looks too... chubby.

The inlays increase cost for no discernable aesthetic benefit, pass.

Handle patterns are a nice change of pace IMO. Spyderco has tonsss of great user knives available for those who don't care about aesthetics. Putting out some designs that appeal to the other kinds of knife collectors and users would only help build the brand. I love lower priced custom quality knives because I can actually use them. I have full customs that sit on the shelf because I don't want to scratch them up. It's a shame. The custom versions of these knives are double or more, usually.

I will have to try one. If it feels as good as it looks, it will be a keeper!

Fair enuff, i mean enough. I was kinda taking a jab at the tuff, which i cant look at for too long. The diamond cut g10 on the other hand works, imo, so its not decoration per se i have an issue with.

I really like birch's custom work. The chubby is cool but I have no use for that style of knife these days. Two years ago I would have snatched it up.

Looks like another small tank. The techno is way overbuilt for me and this looks along the same lines. I'll take a Chap any day.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

I like my Techno, I'm pretty sure I'll pick up a Chubby too. Just something different and fun.
