I have done a lot of deer and used different knives. Mule will do the job but many others are much better. If you want a Spyderco the Moran is a correct style for the job. So is the Southfork. The Benchmade Hunt series has a very well designed knife for deer and I much prefer to the Moran..... now having said that, I am on my way to buy 2 Mules.

Ordered my 2 just after 8:00. Did the inventory trick and showed ~360 in stock. Not many Mules go to CC members (it's an add-on to the club IIRC) and they usually hold a few out of inventory so as to not oversell, so that makes me wonder if this was a run of closer to 400?

My first Mule is on its way.

Does anyone have pictures of the Halpern Cabernet Paperstone scales? Do these come with mounting hardware and are they mounted like all of the other version 4 scales?

250 left in stock as of this posting.........definitely not the feeding frenzy of the last MT release (CPM S110V). I think I will wait for the next MT since I already plan on buying the beautiful new Gayle Bradley fixed blade where I will get to try out this steel in a larger and finished form factor. Perhaps the soon to be released Gayle Bradley has diminished the demand for this MT?

But I am looking forward to the next MT......I still have 2 MT 18's out getting custom scales done and sheaths made....... which I will post pics of when they arrive.

Mule handle photos at halpern

Post by HalpernTi »

We'll try to post a picture for you. Does anyone have a picture?

Yes, they have mounting hardware just like all the Option 4 handles.

UPDATE on Photos

We have some photos of the colors/textures that are not on our website:
black/blue Option 4

Cabernet Paperstone Option 4 (the photo doesn't show the depth of burgundy color)

Natural Micarta and OD Green Micarta Option 5
Heritage Brown, Rosewood and Cocobolo Dymondwood Option 4 pictured together for comparison (Cocobolo is Halpern's favorite of the 3)
Option 5 Ranger green Coarse Texture vs. the typical Option 5 medium texture (like Spyderco's)

Please contact us directly and we'll email you the photos.
They aren't web quality and I'll try to get them uploaded on the forum at some point.
Thanks for the continued support . Handles are shipping within 2-3 days.

194 left as of this post. Just put one in your cart then update your quantities with an outrageous number.....say 300. Then the cart will self correct to the max of 2 but then also will tell you how many is left in stock at the same time.

My two just showed up in the mail. I'd be interested in knowing what the run size on this was and the Rc they're running this at.
