Always loved the design, but an up swept tip just doesn't do it for me for EDC, so I've never owned one.

14 degrees per side up to 1000 grit, than microbevel on sharpmaker flats at 20 per side on fine. Maintaining on sharpmaker flats until reprofiling. WE works great on Persian.
Enjoy the knife.

As much as I Love the full size Persian the Kris is my favorite ED Schempp design. I think it's time for a Kris sprint run with bolsters and Dark green micarta or polished G10. If you have never handled a Kris, you should. It is a knife that will surprise you in person. It is a knife that pictures just can't do justice.

For some reason I feel totally opposite. C83 was the first Schempp's knife, which I bought and still my favorite out of all Schempps. I owned Kris. Ergos are great, but I never was able to overcome the blade shape. I do not see it as useful for EDC or esthetically pleasing as Persians. I sold it long time ago.

I love them. I have had a small micarta one for a while. I prefer the large one and did own one briefly (just long enough to realize the seller grossly misrepresented the condition before sending it back). Still looking for a nice one.

They are both great knives, but i just like the Kris better. I cannot explain why. Maybe because it is unusual looking? It fits my hand perfectly, and has cut everything I have needed it to. My usage these days is hardly what you would call hard use, but it works great for my needs when I carry it. I think of it as a large gentleman's folder with class yet has just a wee bit of attitude.
