Carbon Fiber Delica - you got me!

#1

Post by Jeff/1911 »

Well, after seeing another poster on BF raving about his new CF Delica and viewing a picture; I was helpless to resist the temptation.

I observed as my hand went to my wallet, withdrew the credit card and dialed the number to Spoon river Cutlery. Walter's friendly voice informed me that he had one left...and in a moment it was all over.

YIPPEE! CF Delica on the way!

I'm quite excited, as you probably tell.

My all time favorite looking, feeling Spydie - in luxurious Carbon Fiber. Wow.

Jeff

I'm sure you'll love it! It really is one of the nicest Spyderco has made.

I carry mine in a CF pattern Concealex neck sheath made by Mike Sastre at River City sheaths. A great way to carry it.

4 s ter,

I am sure you're right, I'm really looking forward to this one. I ordered mine from Walter at Spoon River Cutlery and he was happy to ship to Canada. I will go out today.

Thanks for your response, Jeff.

Congratulations on your inspired choice. I guess you'll love the CF Delica as much as I do. Is it a PE or SE, lefty or rightie?

And now I've got it! Oh WOW, man! I just received my CF Delica!!!! Number 237, it is absolutely beautiful!

A Delica with an adjustable pivot - YIPPEE! And is it EVER slim.

Wow, again.

By the way, in case you didn't know...Walter Krafft of Spoon River Cutlery is one very good guy to deal with; also his prices are very competitive.

Giddy with dellight, Jeff/1911.

I ordered mine five weeks ago from The Knifecenter of the Internet, but is still hasn't arrived. I think it's lost in the mail, so I'm going to email them.

Jeff/1911,

Like you I was helpless to resist temptation when I saw the CF Delica.

I e-mailed Knifecenter and they replied immediatly and are going to 'investigate' it; that's good service.
It must be lost somewhere between Kennedy Airport (is that in Washington?) and my house. I had ordered a CF Delica, a d'Allara and two Benchmade Torxtoolsets.

Ledheded, easier to show than explain. Mine is a LH one, not sure if it would be on same or opposite side on a RH one, but you can see the torx screw pivot pin pretty clearly in the picture.

Shiden-Kaj, how's it going...? My CF Delica from the same dealer arrived trouble-free within a few weeks. I just had to pay a stupid lot of extra money on customs/taxes - they apparently open ALL boxes shipped from the States nowadays.

Good luck! I love mine, it's a winner.
