Near death experience

#1

Post by Officer Gigglez »

About a week ago, I had a near death experience involving my heart. Long story short, I truly believed I was going to die. I was carted to the hospital via ambulance and all that jazz, and was released the same day, but not without a monitor strapped to my chest. The point is that things are different now. I appreciate life more and I see things in a different light. I appreciate the little things, and I make a point to allow more time for things that really matter in life, like my significant other, family, and friends. Because when it comes down to the moment of death, it doesn't matter how many knives you had, how cool your car is, or whatever. The only things that matter is how you lived, and the people who populated your life. That's not too say you shouldn't enjoy the things you work hard for, but don't let them dominate your life.
If I have any advice to pass to you guys, its just to appreciate the people in your life, and make sure that you live everyday as if it were your last, because it just might be.

Officer G, I am so glad to hear that you made it through and are on the road to recovery. There is nothing like a bout with ill-health to put a fine point on ones perspectives. Take care of yourself and work hard on your recovery.

I read this somewhere once: "Life just is a journey between a warm place, and a cold place; all that really matters is the love we share in between."

God bless you, brother, and stay warm.

Good to see you back on your feet again.
I did hear though, that he who dies with the most knives wins.
And, I do know that the only better shed is a bigger shed.
