Sure am! Big ole flat part where there should be more actual blade. It really seems a stupid design point...the rest looks good. I like the lock idea, but that blank spot...to me, it ruins the entire knife.xceptnl wrote:You referring to the lower portion near the pivot?

It could be backed up more, at least to the tang extension.DeathBySnooSnoo wrote:Sure am! Big ole flat part where there should be more actual blade. It really seems a stupid design point...the rest looks good. I like the lock idea, but that blank spot...to me, it ruins the entire knife.

A little bit suprised by the lack of a sprint run, I hoped on the Native CF 110V. But I will be getting a Chubby, Rubicon and a Dog Tag at any price :) I'm still undecided on the Bradley Bowie and the Roadie.
Current EDC: Techno, Squeak, Southard Flipper, Caly 3.5
New Arrivals: Chap3, Domino, Sage 3
2014 Wishlist: Yo2 CF, Deviant Friction, Tatanka, Tusk, Firefly
Oldies Wishlist: Delica CF PE, Civilian CF PE

When Gayle Bradley chooses PSF27 over M4, I'm ready to be edge-u-cated. But I'm not a Bowie fan and, besides, I satisfy my very limited fixed-blade wants elsewhere. Maybe the new steel will find its way into a folder?

I also noticed they have the Pricing Catalog if you're interested in seeing what all these new models are going to cost (MSRP): http://www.spyderco.com/catalog/2014_Re ... rifold.pdf

Probably be closer to $300 street (it has a $500 MSRP).DRKBC wrote:I am excited about the Rubicon. More excited if I can afford it, I would think pricing will be similar to the Domino, hopefully anyway. I like the blade shape, like the orange.
My only concerns would be the size being maybe a little small and the handle being slippery.
You are not alone Sparki, I didn't receive the 2014 catalogue either but sometimes they show up out of the blue when you least expect them.
Schempp Bowie, because Ed is the man and I do live in Texas. Bradley Bowie ( thanks for giving it a Texas legal blade length Mr. Bradley) and it was designed by a Texan
. The Pits folder is also cool and would be legal for those that live in, and or work in the San Antonio area. the dog tag is also cool.

It's not an issue with the blade length per se just the design of the blade. It looks foolish as is. Like someone forgot to grind it properly. There is no reason to leave that flat section there at all.gbelleh wrote:Looks like plenty of blade to me, for a small slip joint. Definitely not a deal breaker for me on such a cool little knife.

National Knives has it listed for $281. Plus they have all the new upcoming knives listed here with prices:jabba359 wrote:Probably be closer to $300 street (it has a $500 MSRP).

It's a bit of an eye-opener, unfortunately... PITS for $224, Worker for $180, etc.
