Tom you and I think alike, the Bird and Trout aka Sprig is the main knife in my sights, REALLY looking forward to this one, sounds like next year. Phil designs and makes knives that are truly functional works of art. I spent several hours looking at B&T's online and found few that came even close to comparing to his.
IMO his B&T's are what the knife is supposed to be....clean, functional, a lazer sharp slicer, and the true classic design, which I think leaves others wanting. The Kiwi is for me, and the Yo s90V. While I have a couple Native's (different forum knives) these aren't my most favored Spydies. Never really warmed up to the Native. Hoping Sal might move the Sprig up in production. Hope all have a spyderful day :spyder:

That frn is tough stuff. I bet with a lightweight knife, 100 feet would get you pretty close to terminal velocity. Should get you close to the same speed you'd get from dropping it 275 feet. Shot in the dark, but I'd guess a lightweight knife would reach 70-80 mph from 100 ft. So almost like Randy Johnson throwing your knife into a brick wall. Like I said, that frn is tough stuff! :)3rdGenRigger wrote:My FRN Native shrugged off a 275 foot fall onto gravel and is no worse for wear. If I gave it to you and asked you to find the mark left by the gravel you'd be hard pressed to find it. 100 feet shouldn't be too bad
Oh, and on topic I'd say: S90v yojimbo

Seriously.
I know people have said that it is a production model but I have not heard of a dealer getting a new one in maybe a month. Seems like maybe it is out of production already. I'm hoping they will someday make a new batch of them.
Oh and the new Bradley Bowie looks really interesting.
