Rycen,

Having owned or own just about all of the listed folders, I would say that the most desirable/rare would be the black blade Military PE or SE and the original ying yang cricket. I say original cricket since there are widely available Japanese market versions that are not quite the same as the older Spyderco versions. A side by side comparison reveals the true original.
The plastic clip olive drab endura/delica as well as the grey matriarch are also nice finds.

All are fairly rare but recoil (hi buddy how are you?) is correct. The black Military and the Ying and Yang we don't see too often.

Dave,
Could you tell me what seperates the 2 versions?

Hi Joyce, I'm fine, hope all is well on your end.

Rycen,

The original ying yang had the 2 colors seperated in the reverse s like a real symbol. picture attached.

The new ones have a straight line seperating the black/white stones.

It's not about the compression. You may leave it to maximum quality (which, in fact, is desirable, we can see it better). <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
In order to post it here, you need to resize (or resample) the picture up to 400 x 400 pixels. Color depth no deeper than 24 bpp.

Thanks Dialex ... After about 4 more tries, I finally got the pictures posted. This Cricket is an older original run PE. Notice how the separation between the (white / black) stones follows the reverse S curve set up by the blade.

A question...
Someone recently posted a link to a rare spyderco site (www.angelfire.com/trek/spyderwa). They list the Gray Matriarch as being a South African only model, but I found a reference at the Spyderco "History" page that says it was produced in 1999 and doesn't specify a foreign market.

I'm asking because I recently found one and was thinking about picking it up - didn't want to pay too much.

Stevie, I'm curious about something.
How does S/F handle the lockside coverage on the conversion?
I can't tell from the pics if its a gem or a metall finish on the back side. thanks, Ron
