Thanks all, IMO this is the single best modification I do.
Chux, yes it does increase the grip tremendously, even wet it gets a tacky feel.
Remember I'm using the back side of the carbon fiber sheet, it has a pattern almost like a diamond which is raised.
I can get it in several colors, the 1 pictured is the silver black pattern and that's light reflections off the sheet you see.
I also have the gold and black on hand in my shop.
It's not extremely hard to do, but it does require alot of hand work to make the angeled edges fit perfectly.
I went through several brands of epoxy before I found 1 that would hold up under hard use and the quick set stuff just wont do.
I use the slow cure 24 hr type, then I give it an extra 24 hrs before I start working it down.
If you try this yourself WEAR A RESPIRATOR this stuff is easy to get into your lungs in dust form.
I think the customer I did this for is gonna post better pics and comments later for me.
