So long, Spyderco outlet store...

#1

Post by Sig Savvy »

So my family and I are moving from Colorado back to New England soon (I'm leaving next week). Long story but family issues are prompting us to go back and help out. I just discovered the Spyderco outlet store a little while ago and now I have to leave it :( ...I can say that I've been bitten for sure. I focus on the economical knives (for now) and have 7 of them before I even knew what happened! Anywho, thanks to Sal and the gang for the "local folks" treatment and although I go kicking and screaming into full retail pricing I know I'll continue to support the brand. (Maybe one more trip to the store before I go though....) ;)

Oh man, too bad, I hope the family issues get resolved. Meanwhile I feel your pain, Golden is a long drive from South Carolina.

Just cause you move does not mean you have to pay MSRP. :)

Yes, that is true actually. There's just something more satisfying about buying a brand new knife right from the source. I'll have to get familiar with the best places to shop from now on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Look on the bright side, Sig Savvy... the headquarters for Sig is in New Hampshire. :)

I live in Boston, welcome to the neighborhood!

I know! Actually that's a sig-ness that I can't act on too often but may have to visit there from time to time. We actually lived in central MA around Gardner up until seven years ago so we are trying to head back to the general area to be near family (but maybe not too near ;) )

I did bring my buddy (and soon to be ex-landlord) to the Spyderco store a couple weeks ago. I love being an enabler! His eyes went all dark and he bought three knives on his first trip! I told him that I will expect him to go to the store and buy me knives whenever he goes in to feed his addiction. Win-win!

Yeah, If you could go by SFO and pick up a S110V Manix 2 and drop it of with me on your way through Arkansas, that would be great.
