Which spyderco is in the mail?
Got a Pingo in the mail.
Hope this works better than the last Spyderco I had coming. The label of the package came off in transit, and the post office delivered the label in a damaged parcel envelope. The rub they scan the label and it shows it as "delivered" on summary forms of tracking (what you get with eBay). Well the post office verified the package never came. Had to do a dispute, and eBay sided with the seller as the tracking shows delivered (even if sent notes you needed to check the tracking on the USPS page directly to see what really happened). I pitched a fit and they issued me a refund. So I never got my orange Delica. Note to shippers don't tape the label on the box with SCOTCH TAPE around the edges of the label...
Here is hoping the Pingo makes it. :)

Not saying it was your fault, but for regular production easy-to-find models, I definitely recommend going with one of the many great authorized retailers. Howe's, Cutlery Shoppe, Knifeworks to name a few. They're all small businesses that care about their customers, and many here have had great experiences with them all. Even if it costs me a few extra bucks (which it often does not), I would go out of my way to support those guys and KNOW that I was getting a genuine product with no hassle.

X2 I'm the same way I'll pay a little more for a piece of mind and less aggravation .tvenuto wrote:Markg

Finally pulled the trigger on a Southfork. Didn't really feel the need for one because of all the other S90V I have already but finally had the disposable income and figured it should carry well in a cross draw or small of back horizontal. I hate to carry knives vertically so this smaller sheath should make horizontal carry very nice. Hoping it comes in Saturday.

The blade is flat-ground with S30V steel. However, the button in the locking mechanism is clear (like on the original/older model(s) ) and not black like in the photograph of the 2ND GEN model in the Spyderco website on their website. Given the fact that my knife has the newer blade (flat) and steel (S30V) , shouldn't it also have the newest locking mechanism (black button) ? I'm confused...HorserloverFat wrote:^
Good question , TheFactor. I ordered the hollow ground 154CM (as pictured) , but Amazon may be sending me the flat ground in S30V. ( I believe that Spyderco refers to it as the 2ND GEN .) I hope that it is an improvement. Anyway, I shall know in a few minutes as the mailman is right around the corner!
Sounds like you got the latest and greatest ! Sorry I missed your post yesterday :oHorserloverFat wrote:^

S30V is a great blade you did good ! I believe it should have the newest locking mechanism and don't worry there all a little tight at first but it'll loosen up . Congrats man and enjoy your new knife and post a pic if you can would love to see it .HorserloverFat wrote:The blade is flat-ground with S30V steel. Unfortunately, I don't own a camera. Thank you for the encouragement. Very kind of you, sir.TheFactor wrote:Sounds like you got the latest and greatest ! Sorry I missed your post yesterday :o

LoL would you believe me if I said it was a box knife ? :pjackknifeh wrote:Gotta hand it to you factor. That is the best picture of a box I have ever seen. Have you thought about quitting your job and going into photography full time? :) I assume there is a picture of a knife in our future? :D

How about a pic of my favorite S&W M&P's a 40 and 9 paired with the S110V ?HorserloverFat wrote:I concur that you are a good photographer, so this it what i want you to do : give us a couple of shots of your S110V paired with your favorite Glock. (I like the 17.) Thanks.
I don't have a 17 but there sweet shooters . My Glock collection has gotten smaller I have a G23 , G30S and a G22. But I did manage to pick up a Springfield XDs 3.3 45acp to make me feel better lol .
