I guess they're just out of stock now as Ken says, but I too have noticed times when some people seem to get different discounts. I've seen some things similar to this that are cookie related, but since the discount amount is in an email, I doubt that they could check your cookies before they send your email

If anybody gets a lower discount than other people, they could at least try to re-sign up for dealflyers and/or get the keycode from somebody who's getting 45%. (today, NXM10493)

I see they have Persian 2 and Zulu in stock, just not 45% off. If the Zulu goes to 45% I probably won't be able to resist it at $70.

The Chokwe offers a lot of cutting edge in a reasonably small package.

It's not the most ergonomic, not the lightest, not the heaviest duty, but it does a lot of things well. I wouldn't consider it tough or heavy duty, but I've used it a number of times and it performs very well for everyday stuff.

When I travel, it goes in a back pack in case I need to cut food.

It seems that a lot of the people who get the Chokwe wind up being very fond of them. Also, some of the people who buy the Zulu. IIRC Senor_Square liked his Zulu a lot.

I ended up liking my Zulu far more than I had anticipated.

It looks like I am an exclusion from this. I sold Chokwe after couple days of owning it. I was not crazy about the look of blade, but I loved the look of handle. So I bought it. When I received it and hold in my hand the first time I realized that ergos are not there. The knife just was not comfortable like my other spydies, so I put it on exchange.

Interesting... I find it very ergonomic and comfortable in hand. It seems like a very generic grip shape which would allow for almost any hand to fit it, but I guess everybody is looking for a different handle shape/feel. I don't particularly like the feel of choils, for example. Which means I don't find some very popular knives like the Native and Caly series very comfortable in hand.

I love choils, especially on smaller to medium knives like Kopa and Caly3. Larger knives I prefer with choil, but can live without it. I like ergos on ZT561, Lum Tanto, Valloton, which do not have choils. Chokwe was fine in this sense, but grip didn't feel as comfortable like the knives, which I mentioned above.

I love choils too and would even like to see the new Military2 with a choil more like that of the Manix2. I would like the PM2 better if it had a bit more choil in the handle and another 3/16" of space on the back end to accommodate the little finger (this may be blasphemy around here  ).

If you're on the mailing list, look out for the 45% off coupon good for today. It works on the Ti UKPK, bringing the price down to $88 + $0.99 shipping. Pretty good deal for a Ti knife.

I guess I haven't ordered enough from Sierra recently, I didn't get that email offer. I still get emails from them periodically, but always just the same regular offer. Wonder when they get some additional Spyderco "clearance" models in stock.

The weird thing about the Ti UKPK is it doesn't come up if you check the Spyderco box. Only the Breedon does... I always check that box by default. I wonder what else I've missed?

I think for some reason it is listed under clothing. I always just search for "spyderco"

If you just search for "Spyderco" instead of checking the box for the manufacturer, you get everything.

If they had the foliage green model, I might snag one -- totally too bad the scales are totally not usable on the Caly, and that, even if they were, it would be a job totally beyond the scope of rationality :( ;)

45% off is back again (check your email). Works on the Ti UKPK bringing it down to $88 and the Breeden Rescue for only $80. $0.99 shipping applies again as well.

I was thinking that for a while Sierra doesn't have any new Spydies. Finally today I found Des Horn @ $91. Not bad, but too bad that I broke. :o

Apparently the 45% deal went off last night and only worked for the Jason Breeden Rescue anyway. This keycode (just 35% off) -- NCH94941 -- works for me today for the Breeden and Des Horn (not buying myself :( )
