Nice! Great way to keep them organized and you see what you've got :)

Mine are just scattered around. I don't have that many and half the time I don't even know where they all are. You guys are making feel bad. I swear I love them more than it would seem based on how I treat them. Lol. Some good ideas on here.
I collect users so they aren't cared for too much. I have been keeping my native forum knife in the box when not in use but that won't last forever. I got butterfingers so it won't stay new forever.
I do not excell at organization. :-(

I use a pelican 1300 case in a similar form to what Excptnl has posted for my more prized spydercos. I have a few Delicas in various homes (work drawer etc), and a tenacious that lives in my gym bag as well. The case was a bit expensive, but given that well over $1000 of knives live there I didn't feel bad about it. Also, I would have no issue closing the case and throwing it off the roof of a several story building with the confidence that the knives would remain undamaged.

The drawer insert was purchased at Walmart, but I had to add the "knife separating" ridges that are in the right compartment. For that I used some drawer/cupboard liner and double sided foam tape. I cut the liner to the width of the drawer and left it much longer than I thought I would need. I attached several strips of evenly spaced foam tape across the width of the liner. I then exposed the glue on the back side of each strip (one at a time) and folded the liner over the tape to form the ridges. Each ridge has a layer of double sided foam tape sandwiched between the liner. If that makes sense.(?) After I had enough ridges to fill the compartment, I cut the liner to the correct length and used the tape to attach it to the bottom of the drawer insert.Ferris Wheels wrote:Could you provide some more info on your drawer insert please. A brand and where you purchased would be great.

I have a 48" high bar top on my living room that is my man counter. It is used for everything from a working desk to a sharpening bench to a reading table for my many magazines. It is 30" x 72" of pocket dump territory. I have to keep it cleaned up weekly.nccole wrote:Oh yeah, I try to keep my wife out. She thinks it is her drop box for my stuff that I leave out.
