Tax money & Spyderco

#1

Post by Officer Gigglez »

Anyone planning on buying any Spydies with their tax refund? I'm not sure on mine, but usually my tax refund goes towards increasing my gun collection. Maybe I'll pick up a Yojimbo, Mule, or a Manix2. We'll see. Anyway, does anyone have a lineup they're after?

I think I just might get a Manix 2 XL. I'm really liking the two Manix 2s that I have already, and figure I should have one of the big ones to round out the group. :)
Time for another :spyder:!

Ha! My wife does our taxes, and takes all the refund for boring stuff like savings, investing, and home maintenance. :(

H&R Block does mine. They seem to squeeze every possible cent from the government to put into my refund. Can't argue with that.

I should say she "manages" our taxes. Due to increased complexity, the last few years, they've been professionally done. But the refund goes into her account. I still get to buy plenty of Spydies though, so it's ok. :)

I have a mule setup planned but beyond that I have other hobbies first in line this year. I'm pretty content with knives at the moment.

Unfortunately, this year, it looks like I'm gonna owe the IRS a complete set of Chapparals, a Super Blue Endura, a Tuff, and one of the upcoming Rocs.

You think I can itemize all of my Spydie purchases as a tax deduction? :D You know, as a medical purchase, due to my mental condition (being addiced to Spydies). :D :)

I'm paying in as well. For me, it's the cost of the furnace I was going to use to heat treat my knives.

I'd like a G10 handled Dragonfly, and Endura. But realistically, I doubt I'll be getting back much at all this year.
