You could always pick up a 110v mule and have the custom work done.

Since you're looking for suggestions, it would appear that you don't have very specific ideas of what you want in a custom, other than ""something that doesn't look like everyone else's knife. So, if you like Spydercos, you might want to consider finding someone to customize a model you know you like. To my way of thinking, you get the best of both worlds that way, a knife you know you're going to like and want to use, and one that's not only unique, but uniquely yours.

I second Paul's suggestion. A bit of a regrind, or some custom scales can scratch that itch.

Jake Hoback is doing a mid-tech Kawaiback. I have a friend that is in his books. He said he's going to close them sometime this week though.

Other customs knives I've been interested in are Will Moon's MK6 or MK7. And Jason Clark's Tanto or Clip point flippers.

look in the custom section on GPKnives to get some ideas

Is there a compiled list of said makers? I would like to see them and consider them since they are respectful and pay to use the round hole.

To mention a few more:

Rick Hinderer - He just came up with a few new models for 2014 with some interesting blade shapes and grinds. A lot of his knives are "mid-tech", but he also does some full customs.

GTC Knives- Always something different and interesting blade grinds

Curtiss Knives - Bomb Proof Knives that are smooth opening.

Calavera Cutlery (Jeremy Robertson)
Turpin Knives
Kingdom Armory
G & G Hawk Knives (Grant and Gavin Hawk)
Rexford Knives
Fitz Knives
S.K. Knives (Steve Kelly)
WDZ Knives (Zermeno Knives)
Burchtree Bladeworks
Fellhoelter Knifewerks

Hope this can give you some other options... Take Good Care, Good Luck, and Be Safe Always.

God Bless :)
