It's a great looking knife. I was on the fence for quite a while and eventually they got hard to find and more expensive, so the temptation is pretty much gone. Anyway, I already have a Caly 3 and I try not to buy multiples of the same model. Now, if they offered this combo on the Caly 3.5 (which I do not have), then I'd probably bite. Congrats on your acquisition!

Congrats BT. I love all of my Calys and that one is on my list to get, but it may be too pretty for me to make a mess of. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice piece, congrats!
I only wish Spyderco would make the Caly with a real damascus blade, Hakkapella or Odins Eye would be awesome.

Nice video, nice knife!

BT-Blades, is the carbon fiber handle flat? From the video it seems the handle is very slightly contoured (which is a plus to me).

Between this knife and the fluted titanium native, which do you like more, and why?

Thanks.

Congrats. It is great knife, which also looks great. I hope that Spyderco would make at least one more variant with natural scales

I received mine last week. The blade is quite thin and well grinded = also thin being the edge. It's a beautiful slicer even if some materials stick a bit due to the important blade width. Alas it doesn't "shine" for its carbon fiber scales quality. It looks like a bit cheap but i'm OK with this.

A sprint run of a caly 3.5 like the caly 3 damascus (center layer in zdp189 instead of vg10 (?)) + carbon fiber...pleeeeease. Image

The handle is contoured. I do like the fluted ti native. Both knives are "gentleman folders", so with that being said I'm probably only going to do light cutting task with them. The Fit and finish of the native is much better!
