Thanks, it actually has #2-56 thread inserts in the G10, so it is pretty solid. I hope the Military 2 has partial liners and threaded inserts like that to keep the weight where it is. I carried my ZT 0801 yesterday and then grabbed my Military this morning, and the weight difference is astounding. I mostly just use the Beta QR around the house since I don't know for sure yet if it's going to be a keeper. I got two, the EN coated one like senorsquare's pic above and the black one. I wouldn't use it on my keys because I find it a bit longer than I prefer to have hanging on my keychain. My rule of thumb is no longer than my pinky finger, which puts me somewhere in the neighborhood of a Preon 0 by 4Sevens. But the quick release works great and if you don't mind that size on your keychain then it really is an ingenious design, and IMO you cannot do better. It's very light too, so it's not going to sag your pockets. The color rendering on the emitter is stellar, practically as good as it gets in todays emitters. The beam is perfect too, a good balance between throw and flood. I would like to see Jason come out with an Mini Beta QR, and I would definitely put that one on my keychain. If I get rid of the black one I'd buy the copper one. I have a soft spot for Cu. Hope that helps.TomAiello wrote:Velo, how do you like that Beta QR?
