It is funny about what something is worth. I work in an office with
"fancy City folks" and I am jsut an old redneck farm boy myself. Others
drive the Lexus type vehicles with expensive clothes and what-not.
I have a lifted Chevy Silverado HD and big tires, but I do have a carbon
fiber dash though, (gotta have a little class) I have no use at all for a rolex
or even a diamond. Jewelry is something that I don't understand. I mean,
I understand why people like it, but I can't cut a rope with it, shoot it, saw
with it, drive it, I can't even put it on my feet and wear it in the snow.
I don't mind paying for something that I will have for a long time and that
I can use. Dif stokes dif folks.

Evil D - Can I change my pick from Centofante 3 to the Stretch? More rugged knife for just a little bit more $$. I just have the serrated version, but man, I love that thing! :rolleyes:Evil D wrote:It really just comes down to getting what you pay for. The byrds and Tenacious bunch are good for what you pay for, but then a Lionspy is also good for what you pay for even though it's like 3x the price. Expensive to my poor *** is cheap to the next guy..it's all about perspective. It sure took me a lot of experience and time handling and using $100+ knives to understand (brainwash) where that money is going and to see that I was getting what i paid for vs. the $20 knives i grew up using.

The only time I'd buy jewellery or a Rolex or a custom $1000 + is for investment I don't like it either the only piece I owned apart from my wedding ring was a Thai Buddha and chain which had something that went beyond just jewellery so I get that Bal although if I ever made big money I would buy some nice cars.
I've had some great German cars and they are unsurpassed in the quality although that was between 89 and 96 the best years for Mercedes .

I have chosen Buck’s 420HC. The knife is very well made and the lock is top-class with no blade play in either direction. It’s **** sturdy too, able to carry out heavy duty tasks without succumbing to much wear-and-tear. Most are surprised how large it is at first glance too – it’s almost five inches closed and the blade three and a quarter inches long. Over 250 reviews at Amazon with an average rating of 4.9 (yes, 4.9 out of 5.0!) can’t be wrong.

Value line is easily the best when money is an issue. Such a great line of knives.
