What year did you buy your first Spyderco?
Been Around Spyderville for a while now
Wow!! I'm blown away and very envious as well  Because it wasn't until 1995 when I got my very first Spyder at a Gun Show here in Kansas City, Missouri USA Earth. My very first Spyder was the elegant MARINER model with a stainless handle and a GIN-1 blade. I had that knife up until about 2009 or thereabout.phillipsted wrote:Mid 1980s - I bought a C01 Worker from Sal at a show. The next year I bought a SharpMaker from him at a show, too. Bought a Hunter and a Co-Pilot in the late 1980s. I caught the bug relatively early.
I bought my first Delica and Terzuola when they first came out in 1990. Then a full set of Goddards, a Terzuola Jr., Snap-It, and a Catcherman in the early 1990s.

It wasn't long after that I also got a stainless handled Police, a JD Smith early ATS-34 model and during that time I landed a full SE Military 440V model. Then I really went nuts from about 2002 till now :D

Well I had been around Spydies my whole life from my old man's collection, and then when I was old enough, I didn't buy a Spyderco first. I bought a cheap S&W tanto special tactical. I didn't buy my own Spydie until 2008-2009. My Tenacious.

1st gen full SE Delica "ClipIt" in 1993 after I first noticed the Spyderco in the 1993 Stallone movie Cliffhanger. I think it was a Stainless Steel Police model.
Correction - I think it was a SE FRN Delica or Endura I saw in Cliffhanger. The SS Police model I saw was in another movie, just can't remember which.
