HO HO HO HOLES!

#1

Post by J Smith »

I saw a while back that someone had asked about getting some of the holes that are cut out of the spydie blades and Spyderco replied that they would do it if someone agreed to distribute them.I never saw anything else about it so I emailed Joyce and asked if I could do it.She spoke with Sal and said yes but they have sharp edges and bits of metal still on them and needed to be cleaned up before being sent on.I said I would clean them up and now they are on the way to me.

So if anyone wants some, not sure what I can send to each forumite until I see whats in the package.Best case would be one small, med, and large.

All I ask is that if you want some please send me a SASE,2 stamps on it should cover it and post here that you want them.

Now for forumites that live outside the US.It will be much harder for you to do the SASE so I will cover getting them to you, just send me your shipping info.

Please give Joyce and the Spydie crew a big thank you for makeing this happen.

I will post my address so you can send me the SASE.I can't think of any reason not to post it.If you know someones name you can get there address in seconds on the net.If anyone knows any reason for me not to post my address please let me know.

JEFF SMITH

702 RUSSEL AVE

HARRIMAN TN 37748

I really wish I could cover the shipping of them too but I expect there will be tons of interest in these.

Thanks and Merry Christmas to all.

See the hole in your blade? It's the piece of metal they cuy out to make the hole. Think doughnut hole.

Is there any way of differentiating between steels on these? I'd like to get a few to look at the grain size and structure under a SEM for comparison of the steels. If not, I'll still take a few.

This is cool. I just might go for some but they really can't be called holes though can they?
They are what was left to make a hole right?

Maybe they could be incorporated in a lanyard for your knives-just a thought....

they are slugs cut from the hole in your knife... if you watch the video(I know it's on the dealer one), they show in the first 5-10seconds what we're asking for.
going to be a rough circle, with a line doing 1 radius on it. Nothing pretty, but it's a peice of curiousity(just so you can say you have one).

So...simply you give this thing to back to blade hole, and you will own knife without hole... <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> called NONHOLE Spyderco ...
Reg.patent No.007 - knife, what you cant open like a onehand ...
Its designed for lands, where are restricted onehands ...

Damnt, where is hole for opening, this is not Spyderco !
Yeees,is, but it is masked ...
