New Guy - WTH

#1

Post by mikefromsac »

Hi All:

Although I own a few knives and have EDC'd a small Victorinox for years, I bought a Tenacious on a whim last week. Since then, I have ordered (but not yet received) a Dragonfly 2, Manix 2 (blue lightweight), and a Native 5.

WTH - my wife is gonna kill me ... and I'm still looking at online catalogs ... help ...

Ok...
1. Paramilitary 2
2. Military
3. Delica
4. Pacific salt

There's a lot more but lets start you off slow. :D welcome to the forum.

That's exactly how I got started! This isn't the place for "help", unless you mean help emptying your wallet.

Welcome to the forum. I say your goal should be trying to enjoy what you have and not exploring all the other crazy things that are out there.

Welcome to the forum, but I can offer you little help as I suffer from the same affliction.

One of us...

You should definitely get a caly 3.5, one of the sage series and a paramilitary 2.

Those are all great entry-level Spydies, but wait til you get your hands on a Millie/PM2 or a Gayle Bradley. Then you'll really be screwed. :D

Just let the wife know that these knives with last forever and have great resell/trade value. If that doesn't work, google or YouTube "spyderco collection" and show her that you are not alone. Then look through the catalog together and order couple more knives!... Haha

How about a beautiful blue or black Nishijin carbon fiber Cricket for the wife, and the Sage 2 for yourself?
The Sage 2 in titanium framelock is perhaps Spyderco's answer to the Chris Reeve Sebenza custom knife.
The Sage is very fine knife at a fraction of the cost of the Sebenza...it's also more comfortable and ergonomic.
You've caught the same bug that brings everyone here.

Welcome to the Forum,
Enjoy your stay here or run if you can. The forum is good for having fan, but bad for your valet.

+1
You bought Native5, eventually get Caly3.5 and you are all set forever,..................................................................................................almost :)
"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf"

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian
