Hi Mike,

Saw this link on your MBC web site. Can you tell me more about this knife?

Thanks,

Dear Mort:

It's classified. If I told you, I'd have to kill somebody...

Honestly, I designed the Daigoro based on a request from Mike Snody for a full-sized combat knife. It's basically a chisel-ground Japanese-style tanto with an improved handle design that incorporates a small subhilt and a Persian butt. When I get a chance, I'll take a photo and post it.

To my knowledge, Mike only made two of this design. I have one (Damascus with micarta handles) and a fellow I met at the Blade Show earlier this year picked up the other.

I hope this helps.

Stay safe,

Hi Mike,

If you get a chance I would love to see a photo. I am still amazed at the Ronin's cutting ability. So simple and effective.

Dear Mort:

Sorry for the slow response. Too much to do and not enough time...

Here is a photo of the Daigoro, in Damascus of course. For the record, it's a chisel grind--hollow on one side and unground (flat) on the other.

Thanks for your patience.

Stay safe,
