I think this proves that all Spyderco's have it out for us, even if some of them don't have an edge :p

My spydies haven't done more than a couple layers of skin, nothing to draw my own blood. But my pukko did an awesome job field dressing a doe this past week.

So many spydies, not enough pockets.

Had two different coworkers bite their hands themself after laughing at the knife I handed them. That's on two different occasion with people that didn't knew themselves either.

I learned not to lend my ZDP ladybug for health and safety reason.

My most blood-thirsty knife at the moment is my Civilian, cuts me at the most annoying places in my hand, nothing very serious though. Before I had a Civilian it was my Tenacious, responsible for 8 stitches :( after that my Tenacious never cut me again :D

Oh! I forgot the ZDP Ladybug!! Also cut me several times.

As of today, my Karahawk.
Got myself twice in the wrist, both times while practicing an extension. The first time was on the back of the wrist and so, after putting myself back together and waiting a few days, I figured "ok, just don't let the finger ring slide that far down my finger". The next time it hit me in the side of the wrist and it nicked a vein...that was fun. I'm such a smart feller, eh?
I've now got a pair of trainers on order. :o

My only other spydies to bite me that badly were my waved Endura 4-the darn thing closed on my finger the first day I got it (had never had a lock back before)-and my Blue Lava which nicked me because I didn't realize how tight the pivot was when I tried to flick it open-it didn't open all the way and it sliced right into my thumb.
On a weird note, I also cut myself on the spyderhole of my Persistence while breaking it in. That was also fun...and rather unexpected.

The plus side of all of this is I've gotten good at gluing myself back together and removing blood stains with hydrogen peroxide.

What a way to welcome myself to the Spydie-forum, eh?

I had a fair bit of minor cuts through the years but the worse one and the one that taught a lesson i would never forget was with an opinel while cutting cardboard toward the tip of my index finger, blood everywhere in the bathroom + parents angry that ended up confiscating all my knives and i was concerned i could lose enough blood to faint, i was about 9 or 10 years old.
A serious one also happened with a 440v millie when closing it while putting tension against the spine, got my right thumb neatly beheaded and it looked flat for about a year, blood everywhere in the school i actually left a trail to the restrooms...Got a nice lesson again i would never forget.
I still cut myself occasionally but really minor things which is ok because of the time i spend using sharp tools and keep them sharp that seems to be an acceptable trade off.
I never had to get stiches because of a knife or some sharp tool and i plan to keep it that way.
Oh and i cut my thigh with a gunting recently because it opened in my pocket, not gonna carry this one anymore without some kydex, the weak detent combined with the horn is really hazardous.

Once, my middle finger was in the way of my Manix 2 XL when I was closing it and my nail barely stopped the blade. My flesh that got hit was severed pretty cleanly. But my Spydercos usually don't cut me. It's other stuff that does.

I'm pretty careful with my blades but
3. The wide blade of the Tenacious can get you if you aren't careful when closing it. The sharp edge reaches your thumb quicker than it would on a knife with a thinner blade.
2. I was using a piece of tissue and alcohol to clean tape residue off of my Manix 2 M4 and wasn't paying enough attention. I got a small cut on my finger from getting too close to the edge.
And in the #1 spot-
1. I was closing my Byrd Hawkbill and the very tip of the blade nicked one of my fingers that was holding the handle. Another case of the sharp edge getting to the fingers before you expect it.

I learned well enough in advance that if you have something like the PM2 or Manix 2 and it is loose enough for the blade to swing freely, you have your fingers well out of the way before you release the lock to let the blade close. Don't try this if you have been drinking too much.

Not a Spydie, but I was sharpening my cold steel katana machete with a sharpening puck, holding it with my five fingers gripped around it in the palm of my hand, and moving my arm very fast back and forth. Well, I felt a sting and saw red spray everywhere, and realized that the tip of my ring finger on my right hard was almost severed. (This happened when I was 15/16). My friend was over, so he and my mom take me to the emergency room as I laugh uncontrollably (I laugh when I get hurt, don't know why). They stitch it up and inject a bunch of **** into it, and my laughter subsides to random giggles. I still can't feel a thing in that fingertip to this day.

Again, this wasn't a Spydie, but that day I got a GPKnives shipment with my CPM-M4 Minigrip with a ceracoated blade, the lock was very sticky. I was sitting on my bed opening and closing it, and the particular way I was holding it was with the end of the handle in my palm, and my thumb and middle finger pulling back on the lock. Because the lock was sticking, the force I applied didn't close the lock, but instead shot the knife out of my hand like a sling-shot straight into where my big toe connects to my foot, tip first. It bounced off my bone and shot across my room. It was bleeding everywhere. I didn't laugh this time, because it didn't hurt at all. I wrapped it in some paper so I could continue inspecting my knives, before I realized that it was bleeding quite a bit. I got stitches only at my mom's hysterical insistence (it really wasn't that bad, but you know parents). That area is still rather numb to this day as well.

Tenacious.

Because I have it mirror polished very sharp all the time, and I open and close it alot...Like a stress ball.

Got me three or four times REAL good now. Twice while inebriated.

Gotta respect the edge, I'm really careful when cutting anything.

These edges we put on knives as AFi's is insane.

Serrated Delica. When closing it, occasionally I'll just hold it upright, depress the lock with my thumb, and let the blade fall as it does so freely. About halfway down I remember there are a couple serrations that just do not like my index finger, but it's too late. They slam right into my finger and usually pierce the skin with two serrations, looking very much like a spider bite. Sometimes just one breaks through, sometimes three, but it's usually two. How appropriate!

And yes, this does still happen.

This exact same thing happened to me with the Karahawk. I accidentally stabbed/cut my wrist while practicing, hospital visit fixed me up and then I did it again the next night. Yeah, I'd buy a trainer should they ever release one.

This one. It was ridiculously sharp for some unknown reason.

Matriarch 2: not from waving it out haphazardly, but just because the weight of the blade alone when freshly sharpened will puncture skin.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Yes, a semi rare option as I recall. I kept nicking my self so I had to let that set up go. :D
I picked up a fixed blade version as well. But it just didnt do that much for me, so there both gone.
