What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
yowzer or remnar, how does the bolt action lock compare to the Manix2 ball bearing lock (if you've tried the Manix)?

I've only handled the Manix 2 in the store. For me the lock on the Sage is easier to manipulate. I found the lock on the Manix to be hard to grip and very stiff. That is probably the only reason why I don't already own the Manix.DougC-3 wrote:yowzer or remnar, how does the bolt action lock compare to the Manix2 ball bearing lock (if you've tried the Manix)?

remnar and yowser, thanks for responding. I'm a Manix2 fan and admit that the lock is stiff, but they do loosen up some with use. That's one reason I'm curious about the one on the Sage 3. I've wondered, if it's heavy duty and reliable enough for use on a knife like the Manix, why Spyderco hasn't done it. It could be a licensing problem.

Took my PM2 today...until my new Ulize joined it for the latter half of the day. I'm really digging the Ulize...slimmer and less obtrusive in pocket than expected, and holy awesome cutting edge profile, geometry, and length. I've traditionally preferred smaller knives, and thought the upper limit of my collection would be my Goddard for cutting edge length...but nope :D
