Aloha All! Just curious, I read about people owning a lotta spyders, but just how much is "a lot"? My last count was more or less over 30. One of my favorites has got to be my SS PE Worker, due to it's character. Lotsa "funky" lines, cool tip, and just unique as far as blade shape and appearance go. SO...how many and which ONE and why?

MAHALO!

I own in the neighborhood of 200 Knives, at least 20 of which are SpyderCo Knives.

OF every knife I have Ever owned my hands down Favorite of all time is my SpyderCO Rescue Knife. Until recently I've carried a spyderCO Rescue everyday for alomst 10 years.

I got my first Resuce knife around 94 it had a yellow handle I lost it 2 Years Later...I Got another one immedietly, That one had a black handle it was stolen around '99, I again immedietly got another one...my third one also Black handle, I recently broke the plastic clip...thats the First time I ever managed to "break" a spyderCo despite RUGGED use which borders on downright abuse...I Cant find the "old Style" rescue. The new one is nice but Ater years of carrying my old Rescue, Im not interested in having anything else in my pocket.

DayWalker,
I've just been putting mine into an excel database. I now have 77 co's of which 31 of them are Q's with only a couple of duplicates. I've been slowly acquiring them and many of the others I have acquired to trade for Q's. If you surf over to http://home.comcast.net/~boxer93/ this is a webpage(s) that I am slowly building to show many of the Q's. As far as my other co's Many are Discontinued (johnfjensen likes to see me e-mail him) and colored handled ones. DaveWhiteEagle I have a yellow SE plastic clip Rescue that I acquired from japan (they still have them listed). Plus my sons have a salsa and BFC Blue G10 native. Next I'm ordering 25 engraved natives to give as gifts.
VW, do I have to fill out another form
Chris

Be Excellent to each other.

J Smith and Boxer,

Thanks for the heads up!!
I've Come accross 2 that are on Ebay right now. I'm waiting till the auction gets a little closer to ending Tommorow, then im gonna bid...as for posting the Knives wanted to purchase, I think I am going to try that out if the ebay thing doesnt work out...Even if it does, i may post any way, I had a friend who had a Spydie Rescue with an OD Green handle...I think Spyderco only made these for a very short time, I cant imagine why the od green handle wouldnt have been popular...Especially with the Police/fire/rescue/military/boyscout Crowds...Once I Get another black one for everyday carry, i think im gonna go after an Od Green one.

I have 18 Spydercos currently and want to get more. I am planning to get a Millie. Like many others, I am chomping at the bit waiting for the Paramillie and Spyderfly.

I think that I have between 20 and 30 Spydercos. My favorites seem to be the Wegners, The Standard, and my present EDC the Delica VG10 PE.

Daywalker,

I haven't counted in a while. I'm a shade less than Rico and have been courting the rarities lately. Have a Diver and a Probe inbound. My EDC favorite has been a G10 Rookie SE (smooth pattern with liner) for about 5 years. It is the best all around knife for me and my use. My other favorites vary according to need and use. I enjouy the smaller Q because of its light weight, agressive cutting power and so many variations. My favorite FB is the Temperance. It has heft, a beefy blade that can handle any camp chore, and the ergos are just right for me.

Aloha!

DaveWhiteEagle,

Sorry I didn't notice before but welcome to the Forum and let us know how you fare on e-bay. There is a local guy who sells knives who still has a few of the black and orange FRN clip Rescues. He's asking MSRP though and I haven't been able to talk him down on anything. I bought a total of 9 Spyderkeys from him and he was steadfast on his prices. (But who complains about MSRP Spyderkeys today?) Keep us posted on how you do....

Stay safe! Stay sharp!

How many Spydies? Way,way too many. ;-) I guess I'll say the Native is my overall fav, cause my 440v SE sees more EDC rotation than anything else.

DWE- when you say 'old',you mean w/a plastic clip, right? Keep checking eBay. I picked up a pair off a guy who had like 4 or 5 sets of plastic-clip Rescues and Enduras for bid. There's also a guy in Fla(sunblades) who puts up Japanese market colored handles from time to time.

Hehe, I think if I went to go count all the spydies I had laying around in the room my wife would freak out. I'm not in the collector program yet, but I hope so soon. I think I'll change my tune on how to announce my favorites and say that I favor more of a blade style then actual knife, however, natives are always my favorite. I do like the style blades on delicas, standards, etc. and also the leaf type blades like on the lil' temperence, calypso, etc. Anyhow, I might finally post what I got when I actually get time to sit down and count and make a list to post.

Right now, I'm down to only 6 Spydies (7, counting my 204 Sharpmaker).
My favorite is my stainless fully-serrated VG-10 Police model.
