New Finch 2

#1

Post by sal »

We just received our first shipment of the new Finch 2 model. Something we haved been working on for more than a year.

I've been carrying and using one for a few days. I'm pleased to say that it's a very nice little knife. Well made and reasonably priced. Much better than the original model.

I'm very excited for this model. Not as much for myself (although I'm sure I'll end up with a couple of them) but as a gift knife. This is the perfect size for most and comes at a better price point than a Ladybug or Manbug.

I am excited to see how it turned out. I actually had a g10 finch in my pocket when I got married. Will there be an frn version too?
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

Good news, I am curious how it fits the opening "eye". It will be welcomed in my ladybug-manbug family ;)

Small refinement to the pattern and opening hole, black peel-ply G-10, skeletonized liners, screw construction.

This sounds like another winner.
Knives like these are perfect for the key chain, glove box, or just to toss in my work bag as an extra.

So this is something like a G10'd, choiled Ladybug correct? I will be getting one. I turned into a steel snob being a Spyderco fan but I can deal with 8cr in this small utility blade. A G10 ladybug is the next logical step of course ;) Who cares if it may be cost prohibitive? hehe.

The web site describes the Finch as "clipless", but it shows the knife with a clip....which is it?

That is the Karahawk. The Finch looks nothing like that, is a Byrd, not a Spydie and does not have a clip. Someone at Spyderco used the wrong image.
