Show your Swick

#1

Post by dsmegst »

Since there have been several Swick picture threads recently, how about a consolidated thread for everyone? I'll start:

Old Sprint Swick with gray G10 scales. I thinned it out a lot since this is a necker. Also widened the lanyard hole for a pin.

Made some handles for my Swick3. 1/8" black/grey layered G-10 on .060" red G-10 liners. This is my first attempt at Anso-style texturing and it was far easier than I thought and I'm extremely pleased with how they turned out. I made the scales pretty thin and, as a result, had to grind down the screws a bit on the pivot bolts so that they would fit. This was fun to make and I'm excited to make another set for my other Swick3!

Sorry :o I haven’t done any work on them.

Just bare, basic Swicks and a couple of Spots to show the origins of the Swick.

Nice work, Kyle. I like the contrast with the red liners!

The difference between the Swick 1, 2, and 3 are really significant - I hadn't realized how much they evolved until I looked at Reject's photo. Thanks for posting that!

Here's an old Swick-Pic from when I put purpleheart scales on my Swick2. These are "knockdown" scales that are secured with pivot bolts and not epoxied in place.

Can someone enlighten me to the function of the, raised "button" on the spot? Is it something for sheath retention? Or purely cosmetic?

Nice scales everyone the textured g10 really makes these pop.
