It is definitely based on personal preference... I imagine purple and black is not many people's cup of tea! :)

Howes had them last thursday (satin and black blade). They're gone now, but the black scale ones are still available. He seems to get them in every 2 months. I passed on both occasions-this time I got the all-black PM2. Check out the other thread in this forum on PM2 availability and sign up with Howes to be notified when they're in stock.

I have a few PM2's I may be getting rid of shortly here if my cerakote guy doesn't take on pimp jobs for them soon. He's been pushing it off now for almost two months.. I have two s35vn Sprint run models and two s30v black/satin models.. Private message me if interested.

I don`t really like folding knives, I`m more of a fixed-blade guy!

I'm not sure that's true. They were pretty available up until late 2012.

There are lots of steel options I would love to see in a Para 2 sprint: CPM-M4, CPM Cruwear, S110V...

But...but...I thought a few months ago $175 was the new standard and the price was never going to drop and we should just suck it up and deal with it?? ;)

Thank you vendors for price gouging.

My local shop has 3 chillin in the display case. $100 each.

You have a local shop that doesn't charge MSRP? That's pretty amazing actually. Every brick and mortar store I go to seems to think MSRP is the law of the land and then wonders why people choose to purchase off the internet instead.

Nope. He operates an online store too and usually matches or beats most prices I've seen. If anything he's a few bucks more and usually doesn't charge me tax.

Your a lucky guy. You can actually handle them. Pick which one you want and pay net prices for them. :)

Yep, that's why I always spend my money there when/if I can. Support your local shops. I almost walked out with another DLC Para 2 but I'm on a buying freeze at the moment to support some other hobbies :(
