For me, this is an almost impossible choice. I would almost have to decline to answer on the grounds I might offend one of knives in my collection. Those 2 models are the main 2 I collect. Honestly though, the military has seen more pocket time recently. Get BOTH :)twinboysdad wrote:so another question has come to mind...if this sprint were available in Millie AND Manix 2 FFG at the same time...which one excites you?

The only thing I really dislike about the Military is also one of the best things about it...that huge handle. You'll be glad you have it if you ever use thick gloves, but I prefer as little handle as necessary for folding the blade into. The Yojimbo 2 is a great example of how I like my knives. It has just enough handle to fill my hand and not a bit more, and I have huge hands. The Military leaves a good inch sticking out of the bottom of my grip. It's not enough that Iwwon't buy one but that's my dislike. I've never handled the Tuff and don't think it's a knife I would carry, though I do want one.

Not to mention far superior slicing ability, but of course both of those are at a sacrifice of overall strength. It's really an apples to oranges comparison. They're both designed for very different uses.senorsquare wrote:One thing the Millie has over the Tuff is weight. I'll take the 4 oz. knife over the 6.3 oz. knife almost every time.

IMO the CF/S90V Para 2 is selling @ those prices because of 3 reasons:Evil D wrote:I think it's a bit of both, short supply and the steel. If they made a Military with the budget Chinese steel and said they were only making 500 of them, I'd be surprised if they even sold out let alone fetched $600 on the secondary market even if it was a super limited run. The s90v Para 2 has sold for $900 because of the steel, no doubt about it. There are several other Para 2 sprints made in similarly limited numbers that don't command prices anywhere near that.
1. The extreme popularity of the Para 2.
2. That was a very limited run..wasn't it a 400 piece run? That's a very small number given the handle/blade steel combo and Para 2 popularity.
3. CF/S90V is a very popular combo and S90V is a great steel..definitely worth the extra money(IMO).
If the CF/S90V Para 2 had been a 1200 piece run it would be interesting to see what they would sell for on the secondary markets..IMO they would probably be more inline with what the other Para 2 Sprints sell for..most likely they would sell for more than the Blue and Orange Para 2's, but $900? I just don't see it..maybe $400 to $600.
