A trend toward flightless birds?

#1

Post by Zeppelin »

I guess this may have been said before, but is Spyderco having a trend toward naming their knives after flightless birds? The kiwi, the dodo, what's next? A penguin? An emu? An ostrich? Just thought it was funny.

Like the Penguin idea. What about "penguin" (dress model). And "Royal Penguin" -- bigger one.

Never thought about it before. We also seem to have a penchant for bugs: Crickets, Ladybugs, Dragonflies, Spiders.

Naming knives is harder than you may think. If the name bombs, it can kill a model pretty quickly.

Speaking of Spyderco's naming method...

What would you imagine a knife called the "Platypus" would look like?

A "Platypus" might be arranged like a Dyad with a spoon on one end for the jelly and a flat blade on the other to spread the peanut butter?

Maybe a furry body???,,,,,,, naw never mind.
