Just seen this on a us site and I've never seen it before the double bevel c174 .
If I've read right its a bob T design ?.
Are these new or old just can't find any info on Google etc.
Ill post a link as I can't post picture no affiliation and its the only way I can show you.
Hope it doesn't breach forum rules any one have this knife and what is your opinion on it.
Any thoughts appreciated I've posted on another forum too but this is the place to ask IMO .

I've seen photos of it before, and it's in the 2013 Mid Year Supplement. Definitely Bob Terzuola's work. Heck, aside from the grind it's darn near a dead ringer for the Starmate. OTOH Doubt it has been released yet. AFAIK the highest SKU currently "in the wild" is C166, the Equilibrium and, while they sometimes get a bit out of sequence, eight seems a bit too far out.

I saw that they could be added to the basket, but I don't have the money to just try buying one to see how long it takes to get here. Frankly, the Starmate is the only thing I've ever seen from Bob T that I would buy.Bladekeeper wrote:The site has them to add to basket on other products in stock they have a pre order note.
Or explain its unrealeased yet mmm strange I first thought it was the Hungarian at first glance.
But its not and its strange I can't recall seeing :???? .
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.

But what about Bob's earlier work, the C19 and C15? These two models are amongst some of my all time favorite Spyderco designs, bar none.yablanowitz wrote:...Frankly, the Starmate is the only thing I've ever seen from Bob T that I would buy.

Bumping this up again. Is there any feedback on an indicative release date?
There doesn't seem to be too much enthusiasm about this. I think it is pretty interesting and will no doubt pick one up.
I am still kicking myself for not getting the C19PS I saw in Japan when I visited there earlier in the year. I'm still on the fence on the Starmate (generally a bit bigger and the blade thicker than I'd like as well as the perceived finish issues) but will probably end up getting one at the same time as the Double Bevel.
Just curious if there has been any more news.

Can't see the correlation no disrespect to yourself :) unless you mean the abstract stand alone design , I think this could've been a wicked design had some bevels been tweaked .racer88 wrote:Looks a bit like the Vallotton to me... but, not nearly as nice / elegant.
The shape of the blade given more depth and some upswept curves , it does look off though and I'd consider that a 'nightmare' grind .
