Citadel safety no longer works - can I send it in?

I have a Spyderco Citadel 93mm. Yesterday I noticed the safety no longer works. Can I send it in? Not sure how repairs work with autos. TIA.

As I understand it, if you're active duty military, or a LEO, no problem, just fill out the Restricted Item Return Form that came with it and send it in. If you're a private citizen, you're SOL.

Totally. AFAIK, they aren't even allowed to sell us parts.

OK thanks. Its not a major issue. The safety is pretty redundant really.

You could probably deal with the issue by going thru a vendor.
You send it to the vendor, the vendor sends it to Spyderco for repair.

IIRC, BladeHQ will do this for you (even if they didn't sell you the knife).
There probably will be a small fee for processing.

is the lock just not moving? the same thing happened to mine. i noticed it when i was wiping the knife down with some tuf-cloth. i literally have only handled the knife for maybe 5 minutes and i bought it when they first came out. hopefully for spyderco it is an anomoly(sp?) and not a QC issue.

No, its the opposite, it moves too freely. Its just loose in its moorings.

This. Work with the local vendor you purchased it from. Either that, or find a friend in the force that would be wilng to help. That is if you have one.
