Thanks for the heads-up Tony. I love bacon (being from the south) and we firmly believe bacon makes anything better. Cheers to all my forumites, fry up a pound today.

Haha, nice grips are great for tricking people into thinking my $400 Rock Island Armory is a nice gun. Actually, pound for pound those are probably 400 of the best dollars I've ever spent. Those guys really can put together a great budget 1911. Plus I love the way bacon fat glistens on parkerized steel.

I agree that the right details on a quality budget 1911 can make it appear like a $1000 + version. I personally like aggressive grip panels with a smooth front-strap commonly found on budget 1911s like yours (and my Para GI Expert).

I found some bacon jerky the other day in a convenient store. It was amazing!!!
