With their shimmering scales and proud liners the two Gayle Bradley collaborations just radiate quality. For me these knives are a perfect pair in both looks and functionality, stunning and sleek and tremendously tough no matter which size. I wanted to create an image that showed these gleaming siblings side by side, so different yet so similar!

Last year it seemed like all the professionals waited for the last minute, maybe so that people didn't know how high to set the bar. I look forward to seeing the really creative pictures showing up.Evil D wrote:Here come the procrastinators and sandbaggers :)

Spyderco Bushcraft
During our summer holiday this year I used my Spyderco Bushcraft on my first attempt to do some wood carving. I tried a 5 minute Owl. The knife was absolutely great in turning a round wooden log in a square one, and then carving out the Owl and making it round again, and maintaining the Owl's ears. The backdrop is the Hochkalter mountain range in the south-east of Germany.

Tasman Salt PE Yellow
Tasman Salt is the oldest spydie in my collection and has been really reliable. Tasman Salt with will-not-rust H-1 steel in the water bubbles is a great example showing the ability of fantastic H-1 steel.

I chose the Vagabond because I feel it was a great design looked over by many. It's one of very few fixed blades you can actually toss into your pock or backpack and just go. You can't lose the sheath because it's part of the knife. I chose this picture because it's a play on the name of the knife.
Every Vagabond needs a few friends.
Knives : Vagabond, Chinook 2, Pink Native, Dragonfly Tattoo, Ladybug Hawkbill SE H1, Ladybug Sheepsfoot SE, Kris, Superhawk, S90V Manix 2, and Para 1 Black DLC SE

Almost didn't make this happen Hope you guys enjoy.
Sepia just seemed to suit this picture better than color or b&w.

I chose the Military because it remains my favorite knife, I've owned multiple knives costing many times what a Military costs and then sold them because the Military always seems to find it's way back into my pocket. This picture was taken on a hike to a waterfall for a swim with a few friends. After swimming the Military saved the day by allowing us to cut up food for a picnic. (Of course I was the only one who brought a knife!)

The Chokwe is a knife that upon first glance may look uncomfortable and maybe even a tad ugly. But learn about the history behind the knife and get one in your hand, and it transcends those impressions. As the knife is a work of art, I thought I'd try a little bit of a painterly influence with my Chokwe, as it hangs out in a bush full of berries.

The Manix 2 and Native 5 both are very comfortable for me to use, and work well for fire prep and chores around camp. I love how the Glow-in-the-Dark handles of the EDC Forum knives make them easy to find in the dark. I hang them in the tent like a night light.

The Puukko return to it's birthplace
The puukko has come a long way from the the olden days when local wood and simple carbon steel was used to forge this essential Finnish all purpose tool. In this picture, the Spyderco Puukko, one of the most modern iterations of the classic, returns to it's origins in the Finnish woodland.
