Great comparison photo, thanks Infinite Zero for posting that! Now I'm even more excited to get mine. I really like my Manix 2 so the similarities to it are welcome. The differences look to be improvements as well: Domino is lighter, slightly narrower in the handle and with the rear finger choil back further on the handle it'll have a little better reach. How does it feel in the pocket compared to the Manix 2? Do you notice the size & weight differences or are they marginal?

I agree fully. The Domino may be the best work yet out of Taichung!Stugots-II wrote:I'll work on getting a better/more pics but WOW oh WOW. I am truely amazed and Taichung does it again. Have the Southard and love it and was drawn to this even though the Southard is my only flipper. This thing is great and I am more surprised than I was expecting.

Depends on your flavor of Manix 2. The non-sprint versions feel much bigger. The lightweight versions feel practically invisible in the pocket, which the Domino doesn't. I'd compare the pocket feel to the sprint Manixes with the skeletonized liners, though a bit more compact.drhanson wrote:Great comparison photo, thanks Infinite Zero for posting that! Great pics everyone, keep them coming. I need to live vicariously through you all until mine makes the double trans-continental journey to me here in NY state.
I couldn't restrain myself from jumping on one of the first Howes offerings (plus threw in a SB Endura for good measure), but Jim's shop doesn't ship to NY
(thanks NYC). So, off to WA state they went (to deep on the very edge of the coast no less where there's almost more bears than people), just to have a new label slapped on the box and some more postage paid to Uncle Sam... I'm hoping by the end of next week!

I have one coming next week. Like many of you I have been waiting for this one for a while and I am pretty pumped about it. It is funny with some knives you (or least I) hum and ha about them and struggle to decide but this one really ticks all the boxes. It looks to be the perfect size, Ti frame lock, little carbon fibre, great steel, great build quality ... can't wait.
