Of these knives which do you carry the most? Is there one you always carry then also carry another one for some reason? Depending on where you are going that day maybe? Would you rather have this gift be a knife to always carry or one that is for specific times like camping or something?

I notice you don't have any little knives. Do you not want any Manbug size? That would fill a niche not yet covered. You may be able to get a Manbug (FRN model) and another one and still be under your limit. Just a thought.

Anyway, the BRADLEY FOLDER (PREVIOUSLY called the Gayle Bradley) is a great knife and a great choice IMO to go with what you have now. Someone said it doesn't have much of a hump or finger choil. This is true but I don't think these things are a deal breaker. The thumb ramp is plenty significant enough to provide all the safety you need to prevent your hand from sliding forward IMO. The index finger choil has no jimping which I prefer. I have made my thumb sore from the jimping on the thumb ramp on other knives before. I have NEVER made my index finger sore on jimping which means to me there isn't much friction potential there at all. So, why any jimping? Bradley folder, great choice.

I'll mention another knife because it's a favorite of mine. The Chaparral. I know it's a back lock but it's about as perfect an EDC knife as I've seen. It's a great knife to carry clipped or just in the bottom of your pocket. Since it has a backlock the entire back of the handle is closed. I like that for in-the-pocket carry. Knives that have an open back can let coins in and maybe ding the edge. You have the Sage1 and it's just about like a Chaparral, just a little smaller. Same great design.

Ok, ok, I'll shut up. Good luck with the choice and happy aniversary. :)

+1, that's a good idea. Plus, it may be nice if you returned the favor with maybe a Ladybug or something similar (may keep her from borrowing yours if she ends up liking it a lot too! ;) ).

Still have to vote for a Caly BTW (any version, you can't go wrong), you will NOT be sorry you got one, they truly are the queens of the Spyderco lineup.

So u received my gift today, a brand new Gayle Bradley. This thing is awesome. I am a very lucky man. Now here is the question. I live in Arizona . Should I coat the blade with tuf glide or do you guys think it will be fine in the desert climate.

My gayle Bradley does fine here in Colorado which is a very similar climate. I don't put anything on my blade and have not experienced any issues with oxidization. Even if a little bit of patina forms it just shows you are putting it to good use. I say use it and don't worry about a problem that isn't there. Now if you lived next to a body of salt water I would have a different recommendation. Congratulations on the new knife and we look forward to hearing your impressions of M4.

I originally asked for a Sage 1 but couldn't wait for my anniversary and bought it a few weeks ago. I am now thinking about a Gayle Bradley. What do you guys think. The price range is sub $150.

Thats a really good gift. I have an iPad v.3 that I use for reading. My daughter cracked the screen though. Its still usable. I guess you earned the knife lol.
