Perrin style mule handle

Post by Jmotley »

Has anyone done a deep finger choil on a mule? Similar to a street beat?? I know the holes in the tang may limit how deep it could be. Also the street beat is 4mm compared to the mules 3mm. If nothing else any photoshop wizards want to give it a shot?

It would appear to be more a question of designing a set of scales to fill in the rear portion of the existing contour behind the projection on the bottom of the tang, coupled with a bit of grinding in the forward part of that contour.

Sounds like a neat idea. Maybe I can put a Photoshop mockup together later.

Do you think any strength would be compromised? I would love to try this mod, but I may have to track down an older mule. Not sure I want to try to grind the k390 just yet. But I do love the look and the feel of the street beat and think a mule version would be pretty cool.
