You should get a free knife for using a word that has never before appeared on this forum :p

I'd be okay with that.

It's a good word.

I had to look up "schadenfreude", but indeed feel it with you! Nice word!

Kristi, I've taken a pass on the Forum Knife in favor of the announced CF Native5. Should we infer from your comments that it will be a while before production quantities of S110V will get cut for the next Native5? If so, what's a while?

Well, this is good news potentially, though 4 days later, getting on the wait list is pointless at this point, considering how fast they sold out.

Enjoy your sharp things ladies and gentlemen

I'm curious if any of these have come through yet and whether folks will know before next week. Has anyone received any updates?

You have a point. Still, MSRP isn't too bad, on eBay some, "Buy-It-Now" prices are over $300 and there are bids below that.

Not in my opinion. I don't feel scalped when I pay MSRP for a knife I know someone purchased for a lot less - but I also recognize that that's a purely personal opinion. :)

The MSRP is much higher than what most are accustomed to paying retail. Still, if I bought a quality folding knife bound to keep it's value and perform admirably for decades I don't know what is a proper price. You can hand most of these down to the next generation.

On that level $109 for a Delica and $300 for a Native5 Forum Knife seems accurately "valued".

My apology, I figured your post reflected the comments of this thread and others about the Forum knife. I agree with you. I paid MSRP for an original micarta scaled Shabaria from Country Knives and MSRP+ for older Spyderco knives I wanted to add to my collection.
