Got my new Southard today. What a knife! I cant quiet put my finger on what makes this knife so amazing.... but there certainly is... Maybe the fact that it just feels so 'High Performance' when you flick it out, light, fast, highend materials, amazing quality, slim feeling... just amazing

I've been carrying one for the past week. I quess some knives have that intangible "makes you feel good while flicking it open" kind of feeling. Makes me want to just stay home so I can play with it all day long. Best knife I have to date. Same feeling with the Techno which to me seems like a little brother to this. CTS steel (both thick but Techno even thicker!), titanium frame lock, stonewashed, out of Taiwan with same incredible fit and finish.

You're not. I just can't warm up to my Southard. The "flipper" mechanism seems almost useless to me. I wish the spider hole was bigger and it didn't have the flipper.
