Random hypothetical situation for Spydie lovers ...
I was in the restroom of a casino this evening, leaning over, watering a bowl - when I had a crazy thought ....
(I had my ZDP Dragonfly in the coin pocket of my cargo shorts, my SOG Flash II in my right rear pocket)
Would I, or any knife lover, actually reach into a bowl (of liquid) to retrieve a good quality knife from the watery grave?
Now I didn't say bare handed .... but by any means necessary ... would ya reach in and snag that nice blade? :o
Just something that I thought of .. (if MY own knife had fallen in)

Yep - reach straight in and grab it !
If im in a restroom, i can wash my hands (probably twice) and i would washthe knife, wrap it in paper towels and rewash it with a scrubbing brush when i got home.
Only time i wouldnt is if i had open wounds or blisters on my hands - the. I would try and find some gloves.

Yes I would.
Unless maybe it fell into a previously occupied and unflushed bowl of unspeakable wretchedness and filth, complete with a floating, frothy mix of vomit, blood and maybe a little pus. Of course the floor and seat would have to be splattered with thick, dark, sticky urine encrusted with hairs. If it fell into something like that, I'd just leave it.

He then goes to a long urinal opposite and washes his hands maybe his face to I can't remember.
Before realising and turning to the camera crew filming and asking "is this a urinal " LOL .
I second this. If the situation was that bad, I would have the perfect (legit) excuse to buy a new :spyder: . :Dgbelleh wrote:Yes I would.

Yes, been there, done that, 2 weeks ago, S90V Military.
I was trying in waistband carry, and it "back-fired", so to speak. Knife took a dive when I pulled my tuck-in shirt out of my pants.
My first thought was, "Oh CRAP".
Next one was, "CRAP, did I chip the edge?".
Third one was, "CRAP, I'll have to wash it now".
Luckily no damage, and it got a thorough disinfection that evening. :)
