This ^^^ Very seldom, especially in comparison to many other companies. That's the benefit of having a steelhead owning and running the company. :spyder:

Might be rare but it has happened and they had a recall over it.

Don't worry, we're still all waiting for the 2 weeks advance notice of the sale date. Just make sure you keep checking in so you don't miss out!

All that extra grinding time adds to the overall production schedule..... and it's worth it!

I wonder if Spyderco decided not to do it this year after the negativity on the thread.

There wasn't that much negativity in the grand scheme of things, JMO.

Well. My interest has gone south. Tired of all the drama about limited runs and this forum knife. Nothing against Spyderco here. More power to them being so popular they can't keep up with demand. I'm spending the money I had set aside for the forum knife (about a year ago as I recall) on traditionals. I may order one anyway if I have the funds re-assembled when the time comes but if not that will just mean more left for the true believers. My Spyderco collection may just have to stay as it is, about 20 pieces right now.

Last I heard they were already in production. Someone would have to be pissed on an epic level to spend all the money put into this knife and just shelf the whole thing. That would be a foolish business choice and I don't think it would happen.

No, and I'm sorry but I called it what it was.

Up to this point, it was over with. Was it necessary for him to bring it back up?

Perhaps a bit of sarcasm but every few days someone chimes in here with a genius note about "bad vibes" as if they discovered another element that the Period Table left out.
If people want to keep things friendly maybe they should keep the composte in the big square box instead of deciding to open it in the living room.
