I like plain old grape jelly, but also Smucker's blackberry jelly is probably my favorite.

Of course the King (sometimes pronounced "kang" here in the southern US) liked his PB sandwiches with bananas and bacon.

As for jelly, I like a number of different jellies and jams. Guava jelly is good, guava paste is even better. Strawberry preserves are excellent, as is English style orange marmalade. Also like it with bacon, banana, ham, and celery.
Geesh Deacon, you retired guys have time to try all of the flavors.....just jealous.

I reckon sprinkling his sandwiches with cocaine and quaaludes didn't help his cause either. :)

I tried the Peanut Butter and grits this morning. At first I thought, "Wow, this is terrible." then I warmed up to it and it was pretty good.

That combination sounds pretty good.

Peter Pan makes Honey Peanut Butter. I buy and eat that, it's pretty tasty. Exactly how much honey are you talking?

I did fail to warn you not to look at peanut butter and grits, just to eat them.

Glad you liked them.

I have some Agave sweetener, maybe some day this week I'll try to get to work early and do agave peanut butter with coffee similar to your honey and peanut butter.

Have honey prices been rising much? From what I hear, the bee population decreased at least 1/3 since last year.

Good question. I haven't been watching it, I bought that honey last year.

I finished my container of Planters Crunchy Peanut Butter, and switched back to Peter Pan Honey Roast. Wow, that makes the Peanut Butter and Honey sandwiches much better!

I'm going to have to try the grits sometime.

I'm a fan of the classic Jif creamy and Welch's grape on soft white bread. Really takes me back. Gotta have some Fritos on the side as well. As long as we're discussing nut spreads... something sort of new I've been turned on to is Nutella spread on Nilla wafers. Wow!

Sorry to derail the thread, but I find the blade on the Yo2 to be quite strong.
Anyone agree.

Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich
Read Reviews (293)706
"This is peanut butter and jelly with a twist. The kids will thank you for them." — Chasity

Original recipe makes 1 sandwich
2 teaspoons butter
2 slices white bread
1 teaspoon peanut butter
2 teaspoons any flavor fruit jelly

Directions

Heat griddle or skillet to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Spread peanut butter on unbuttered side of one slice of bread, and jelly on the other. Place one slice, buttered side down on the griddle. Top with other slice, so that peanut butter and jelly are in the middle. Cook for 4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown, and heated through.

:p odd for a question about a Spyderco to derail a thread, but here's a perfect example.
