Shipping policy for well known Dealer

As many of you know HKS has changed their shipping poiicy to include a charge if package is over 13 oz. If you order multiple knives, you now have to place individual orders if you want free shipping. If you recently have been charged shipping by them for a larger size order, they will be glad to talk to you about it and reimburse your shipping this one time. They are doing this for Good will. Give them a call. They said they would reimbursed my $9.70 shipping.

I tried to order a Dragonfly and it wouldn't give the free shipping option. All good things must come to an end. Jim still has terrific service.

Free shipping seems like a US phenomena, free shipping from Canadian dealers rarely happens.

Even without free shipping their prices are really good and their service is the best. The USPS increased their prices this year.

Welcome to paying for idiot customers. The ones that order, change their mind after postage is purchased, constantly return items, demand free stuff and take up an inordinate amount of a seller's time and money because they are so special. I 'see' it online and in person in local stores. I have a fried that runs a terrific restaurant. He used to spend 40% of his time with problem customers. Now he just tells them to go some place else and the regulars enjoy great food and service. It a lot tougher to do that online.

Shipping is a cost of doing business, often people look only at the price and when making a buying decision don't remember that one dealer includes the shipping and the other doesn't. I think it was a wise move on there part.

One thing that chafes me a bit is if you get a problem item and you have to pay for the return shipping. I really prefer to deal with someone that will look at the item before they ship it.

I don't see anything about not shipping to NYS anymore. Ill have to call and confirm this.

Most companies just add it to the price of the knife and say free shipping.wait till taxes are added to online purchases next year

I'm pretty sure Howes doe not ship knives to NY. I placed a pre-order last year and had to cancel because of shipping. There are a few dealers that do ship do NY still.
