Who knew that the PM2 (in any iteration) would become the white whale of the Spyderco world? I'm glad I got the five examples I got!

I can't believe the prices those fetch... if you keep your eyes open you can find them at retail or near retail prices. I think I paid $120 for the same ninja Para2 a couple of months ago.

I should have bought the digicam and satin model for $96 shipped when I had the chance. Looks like it'll be a long wait still.

The longer the PM2 is UNAVAILABLE on Amazon - the higher the price - gee, if they never have them and they don't take back orders why not make them dirt cheap - "Would you like a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 for $50? Oh, sorry we haven't got any."

That is the only one of the four regular run ones I do not have, even though I love the camo handles with the super shiny blade... sort of like when you get a camo bag covered with reflectors!

I might have to swap scales from my camo/black with my black and satin ones. :)

That sold fast, despite the inflated price!

Knife Works had a few in stock this morning, for a more reasonable price. They had digi-cam/black blade, and normal black handle/satin blade, they were out of the digi-cam/satin blade still.

I thought about ordering one, but since I already own 7 or 8 PM2's, and since I was ordering an orange Dragonfly and a Navaja this morning, decided I would wait on any more PM2's for at least a little while :) .
Which Knife, A or B? get Both! (and C, D and E) :)

This incoming PM2 in digicamo and black blade will be my first coated blade as I too never cared for the coated blades. It should look good next to my digicamo satin blade one! :D

Which models have you had the dlc scratch easily on? I believe the Tenacious black blade uses something different from DLC, but the DLC on other models is really pretty durable. I haven't *abused* mine or tried to baton through anything, but sometimes when I think I've scratched it, it turns out to be transfer from what I was cutting, and a little WD40 or other cleaner gets it back to looking black again. I'm not saying it can't be scratched, just don't know that I would say it "scratches off easily". I don't know if any other brands use the same DLC coating as Spyderco.
