I am listening demi Lavoto's song "Heart Attack" now a days and i think it is the best English song. Its music as well as lyrics are very good and interesting.

Fogerty is my favorite rocker. However, I do love Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, and the Stones, just not quite as much.

I like this version best because Rachel really smokes this song. Better than Clare Torry, IMHO...

Oh man, now you're making me fantasize... :D

I had the "Dark Side" album in tape when I was in college. I wore out a lot of drive belts and tapes rewinding that song. I dreamt of CD's and CD players back then. Technology makes it even more awesome(I can play it over and over without compromising the quality). I fantasized of two anthologies in digital back then, Pink Floyd and Steely Dan. :D

Yeah I had The Wall in vinyl back then, I lay back with the head phones on listened to it more times than I can remember. There was a lot of good music back then not that there isn't now but you have to dig for it a little harder that's for sure. There are only so many times I can take "you can stand under my umbrella-ella--ella" Who says you can't write a song in under five minutes ... inutes...inutes..

Steely dan rocked back then they were sort of aloof it seemed kind of in the main stream but out of it, you can still feel the whole So-Cal scene at that time when you listen to there stuff. Loved this track, Donald Fegan was at the top of his game, the whole band was.

Wow - great footage. Jeff "Skunk" Baxter was playing with the band on that recording. Countdown to Ecstasy was released in 1973, and I think he left the next year to found the Doobie Brothers. That was also the year that Steely Dan stopped touring to focus on studio recording...

And odd band, indeed - but it is great to see live footage of them in their prime! Thanks for sharing DRKBC!

Oh thanks Phillip, Jeff Baxter was rocking there wasn't he! speaking of The Doobie Brothers Michael McDonald was also with Steely Dan on and off in the 70's and 80's too I think.
