 Awesome. A Lava with those krinite scales would be like... lava :D

I will buy Lava with such scales as well, especially with material on the top picture.

Those Kirinite scales are exactly what popped into my head as well when I read gbelleh's post yesterday.

I love the Lava and I cant wait for the sprint run.... I'm all in on this one! I"m really digging the screw together construction.

I've had several Lavas and 2 of them developed some side to side play. I've sold them off hoping for a good "user" but like most stainless models, the side to side is inevitable at some point. I also found that the pivot pin on a Lava is "almost" identical to the Delica pivot. With some light modding, i switched it out and BAM! No more side to side play.

I like that the Lava is being made again, just don't care for the smurf blue, if it has to be blue maybe Tardis blue.

I must have one of these. I'm a big fan of Spyderco's "little big knives".

Definitely looking forward to this one!
Another "little big knife"! (Gotta feed the need)
I'm not a particular fan of that color, but glad it's not in basic black. I would love to see it in those swirl colors shared by phillipsted!

That's my biggest fear with these sprint runs. They go so quick with little notice and there are crazy people out there willing to spend that much!

I've been hawking the forum and the Lava threads to make sure I don't miss the pre-order.

THat looks like a great little EDC knife. I like the way they switched the hump to a hole. Instead of raising the blade spine to create a hump they lowered the handle creating a hole (sort of :) ). Interesting. Would like to hold it. Surely they aren't almost $300.

A nice condition forum Lava recently sold on eBay for less than $90 shipped, and I got a NIB Lava for $100 shipped not too long ago. They can still be found for reasonable prices if you patiently look. The sprint will likely lower prices of the original too.
